This 3-week workshop will train you to understand the fundamentals of data analytics along with the basic math skills required for efficiently processing data commonly seen in businesses across a wide range of industries. These in-demand skill sets will give you an edge in your everyday job or help you to understand data insights as you transition to a new career or opportunity. Throughout the duration of the training, you will be introduced to the different aspects of data analytics in business, including data governance and strategy, and will learn the fundamentals of creating and evaluating a basic data set.   

Data Fundamentals for Business can be accessed through a hybrid learning environment, where you will be able to engage with the instructor and content in-person or live online, as well as work on individual online learning activities on your time.  

This workshop will be digitally badged, allowing you to highlight your skills with your network. Data Fundamentals for Business is the first workshop in a series of three as part of a new Data Analyst Microcredential. The second workshop will launch early 2022.  

In-person workshops take place at NorQuest College, Edmonton Downtown Campus.
