With a long history in the education sector, Rebecca (Becky) Kallal brings with her a wide amount of knowledge and experience to the NorQuest College team. She began her career as a Junior/Senior High social studies teacher. She then went to Alberta Education, where she worked as an Editor of Diploma Exams and Provincial Achievements, holding this position for more than a decade until she took her editing skills to Castle Rock Research, where she worked until 2011.
Becky served two terms as an elected trustee and chair at the Edmonton Catholic School Board, and is currently an active member of the National Association of Parliamentarians. Becky Kallal has also served as a Service Delivery Contracted Instructor at the Alberta School Councils’ Association, and is currently the Executive Director at the Providence Renewal Centre.
As a graduate of the Alberta government’s Board Development Program, and armed with a Bachelor of Education in English and Social Studies, Becky brings an unparalleled passion for education to NorQuest. She loves teaching, especially the process of making classroom material relevant to her students’ own experiences. When she isn’t in the classroom, Becky enjoys wilderness backpacking.
