Nathan Richuk brings a passion for the culinary and hospitality sectors to his position as a continuing education instructor at NorQuest College, where he has worked diligently since 2016 to teach and train the future leaders of the service industry. Having worked his way up through the culinary industry from entry-level positions to his current position as Director of Food and Beverage at the Edmonton Expo Centre, Nathan has picked up a wealth of skills throughout his career.
Nathan began his career in the culinary trade, working in a variety of positions including Executive Chef for the United Way of Edmonton’s summer camp, and General Manager at Rexall Place in Edmonton. From there, Nathan developed his passion for hospitality during time spent abroad in Europe and Asia, where he learned how culture influences service style and expectations.
Nathan considers himself to be a lifelong student, constantly working to develop his knowledge of the culinary and hospitality industries. Nathan has studied at the Culinary Institute of America, and has worked for gala dinner presentations and services for esteemed individuals like Presidents Gerald Ford and George H.W. Bush, Lady Margaret Thatcher, and Luciano Pavarotti. He holds tremendous enthusiasm for the service industry, and focuses on making a difference in each guest’s day.
