Community and social service careers are vital to the success of communities at every level, helping those in need and ensuring that they are given access to the resources they need to succeed and thrive. NorQuest College has tailored its Community Studies continuing education courses to ensure that you are given the skills to help those in need, and to help you build a rewarding community and social service career.

The Community Studies skills and knowledge building courses offered by NorQuest College will prepare you for the mental and emotional effects involved in disaster recovery operations, teach you how to identify and prevent elder abuse, and how to recognize and provide assistance to those experience mental health crises. Other community development courses offered by NorQuest College will give you the skills needed to aid in situations where domestic abuse is present, how to ensure inclusion and diversity in the workplace, and how to effectively leverage social media platforms for community service purposes.

Introduction to Gerontology - XHLT 1550
