Work-relevant and interactive learning

By taking both courses in this program, you will learn valuable and work-relevant skills regarding hazardous materials awareness, response, and mitigation. Choose to take only the first level (Awareness), or both levels (Awareness and Operations) in this program based on your needs.

An interactive online certified Fire Services Instructor will support you in your online theory. For those choosing to complete the Operations level, you will be provided with valuable hands-on practical skills in addition to your online learning. Practical skills generally take place in spring and fall alongside our NFPA–1001 Firefighter Training students.
