These programs include entry level and advanced levels of firefighting, fire and safety training for rescue operations, fire officer and instructor training, and much more.

Preparing you for a career in firefighting and rescue operations

All fire and safety training taught at NorQuest College is held to industry standards set by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and are eligible for internationally recognized certification, preparing you for a satisfying career within the fire service sector.

NFPA 1001 - Firefighter Training

The program includes all the essential and mandatory courses required to start your career as a firefighter.
You will first complete the online theory portion followed by the practical skills training which is held over three weeks at an approved training site. At the end of each course, you will complete an accredited written exam and perform a practical skills evaluation as required for international certification.

The NFPA 1021 Fire Officer Training program is designed for firefighters who want to become a supervisory officer in a fire department. Through theory and practical skills training, you will be given the training needed to seamlessly transition into the important role of a supervisory company officer or a management-level position.
