Diversity at Work: Making It Safe for Everyone

Designed with the support of the Government of Alberta, Ministry of Labour, this interactive, online course is for safety supervisors, internationally-trained individuals and anyone who wants to be safer on the job.

Course Information

Diversity at Work: Making It Safe for Everyone has four main topics/modules and takes between 1-2 hours to complete. All of the modules have videos of a culturally diverse team at work. These videos show some important safety and communication challenges that the team works through to build trust, be more accountable, and most importantly, to be safer on the job.

Modules:
  • Module 1: Speaking Up for Safety
  • Module 2: The Three Rights of Alberta Workers
  • Module 3: The Right to Participate/Health and Safety Representatives
  • Module 4: Keys to Safety: Empathy and Accountability
I took this course July of this year, I was pretty much about 2 months in canada. The instructor Erin Waugh is extremely knowledgeable and could totally relate with the issues of diversity and integration into a new society. I learnt so much about workplace integration from his session.
