Learning Outcomes

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to

  • identify ways to complete a community needs assessment
  • use the needs assessment to forge partnerships with local businesses
  • identify creative ways to accommodate the needs of businesses with those of newcomers
This workshop is designed to assist participants in supporting ESL learners in the workplace. Participants will look at needs assessment as a means of forging partnerships with local businesses that employ newcomers. They will learn how to complete a community needs assessment, use the needs assessment to forge partnerships with local businesses, and identify creative ways to integrate the needs of businesses with those of newcomers.
